Playgroups for Mom, Tots and Infants??? 01 Apr 2005, 10:09am

Hi all,

I am new to this area (Easton) and am wondering if there are any playgroups that we can attend. I am not looking for a preschool or daycare. I am a stay-at-home mom and want a place to socialize with other moms and kids. I have a 2 year old daughter and a 12 week old daughter. I also have 2 other kids in school full time.

Thanks in advance for any and all responses.

I would suggest you try your local YWCA and YMCA. 07 Apr 2005, 7:46pm

We moved to Darien last year and that has been the best way for us to meet new people - especially other Moms. Also, try THE LITTLE GYM. They have programs for kids starting at 4 months.

Also, the Maritime Aquarium and Stepping Stones in Norwalk are fun places where there are lots of other Moms.

Good luck!

Memorial Day Weekend 29 Mar 2005, 8:45am

Looking for suggestions for Memorial Day Weekend activities or short trips. Are there any festivals or special events going on, besides local parades? Or, someplace we can go for the weekend that is less than 2 hours away and is kid-friendly?

Thanks in advance.

Try the Maritime Aquarium or Performance Dance in Norwalk. Also, Stepping Stones Museum (also Norwalk).

Boy or girl's birthday?

How about something creative where she and her friends can make a bead bracelet or necklace? Or paint a t-shirt with loads of glitter.

Or for boys (but not just boys) a day out at a baseball game. Friday nights have fireworks at the Bluefish!
